Dare to be different! Take a walk on Kadavu Island, stay awhile & remember forever a very unique place on Earth.

Waisalima Beach Resort & Dive Centre is the perfect eco get away for travellers seeking something far and beyond what the normal tourist destinations in Fiji have to offer.

Waisalima Beach is an intimate, eco friendly and exquisitely remote resort located on the undeveloped eastern tip of Kadavu Island adjacent to the Naiqoro Passage and overlooking the Great Astrolabe Reef. When diving it becomes apparent that this barrier reef, the third largest living organism on Earth, is also one of the world’s richest marine ecosystems.

Waisalima Beach Resort is responsible for the creation and preservation of the marine reserve at Naiqoro Passage on the Great Astrolabe Reef. Located just minutes by boat from Waisalima Beach, this  gateway between the South Pacific Ocean and Kadavu is one of the most important breeding ground for many types of fish species, making it one of the best places on Kadavu for diving. This means that the local community have a sustainable source of breeding fish that migrate to restock their traditional fishing grounds. This will benefit both them and their descendents. Enjoy swimming along side turtles, sharks of various species (and sizes!), giant hump head wrasse and schools of snapper whilst enjoying myriad corals.

Viti Water Sports, a PADI operation of long standing repute is now proudly managing the Waisalima Dive Centre. Part of your diving fees goes directly to the local villages to help them police their marine reserve at Naiqoro Pass. The Viti Water Sports dive team run scuba courses from Discover Scuba right through to Dive Master in their fantastic Centre. They have well maintained equipment for hire, including wetsuits, Sherwood and Oceanic brand BCDs and Regulators, all to ensure you enjoy a safe and wonderful scuba experience while diving the Great Astrolabe Reef.
